The  Vibration Damper  is a mechanical device installed on overhead power lines to suppress wind-induced vibrations (e.g., Aeolian vibration, galloping, or wake-induced oscillations). By dissipating vibrational energy, it prevents conductor fatigue and hardware damage, ensuring long-term structural integrity.

Uses weighted dampers (typically cast iron or steel) attached to flexible steel messenger cables.
